FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Do you file taxes for me?
No. We prepare the documentation and accountant-ready records that a qualified tax adviser uses to file. Chain Accountancy does not provide tax advice or filing services unless expressly authorised.
Which exchanges and wallets can you reconcile?
All major centralised exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, etc.), non-custodial and hardware wallets (MetaMask, Ledger, Trezor, Phantom, etc.), DeFi protocols, NFT marketplaces, and cold storage. We use industry-standard tooling such as Chainalysis, Koinly, CoinTracking, and Lukka.
Do you need my seed phrase or wallet password?
No. We work from read-only exports, public addresses, and exchange API keys with view-only permissions. Never share your seed phrase, private key, password, 2FA code, or recovery code with anyone.
Can you support both US and Australian filings?
Yes. We produce reports aligned with IRS frameworks (including Form 1099-DA structures) for US clients and ATO-aligned reporting for Australian clients filing before the 30 June EOFY deadline.
